Traidcraft Tea

Traidcraft tea is available to pre-order now from True Origin from 11th May.

Traidcraft is the trading brand of Transform Trade, a charity supporting producers across the world to get a fair deal from trade. True Origin are a social enterprise based in Scotland and sell a wide range of ethical products - proving every day that trade can be achieved fairly.  

Transform Trade and True Origin have worked together to bring back one of Traidcraft’s best loved products, Traidcraft tea. 

Transform Trade and True Origin have worked closely together to source, package and market the tea to ensure we can support producers through tea sales.  

True Origin are the exclusive distributor of the tea and will donate 5% of their selling price to Transform Trade who will use these donations to re-invest in their wider work with producers. 

We have brought back a Traidcraft Breakfast blend (both in retail packs and catering boxes) and hope to extend the range in future.

Traidcraft tea was long a favourite of Fairtraders for its delicious taste and high quality – which is why we are proud to be launching Traidcraft tea this year.

This tea blend is not the same as Traidcraft sold previously – it has been refreshed!

This 100% black tea was grown in the rich soil and high altitudes of the Great Rift Valley, Kenya - the perfect conditions to grow a delicious tea. 

Yes, this tea is supplied by smallholder co-operatives from Kenya and is 100% Fairtrade, providing a fair income for the farmers who grew it and a Fairtrade Premium for community projects that benefit farmers, tea workers and their families including sustainable energy initiatives which support the planet.  

This tea was grown in the rich soil and high altitudes of the Great Rift Valley, Kenya and has been supplied 100% by smallholder co-operatives from Kenya.

We’re starting small with a Traidcraft breakfast blend in teabags – boxes of 80 bags and catering packs will be available initially.

If all goes well and there is enough uptake – we would love to extend the range – we understand de-caffeinated and loose leaf are particular favourites so these will be top of the list to look at.
